(Credit System Converter)

Translate credits between countries

Convert US semester and quarter credits, UK credits, ECTS and Australian credit points with the common full-time-year guide.

Australian universities each set their own credit-point scale. Your university’s course handbook shows the points in one full-time year.

Good to know

Will a university use these exact numbers?

Each university applies its own transfer rules and decides how outside credit fits its programs. The converter gives you a reliable starting point for conversations with admissions teams and your Pathway Specialist.

Why do Australian credit points vary?

Australian universities design their own credit structures. One university may count a full-time year as 48 points and another as 24 or 96, so the converter lets you choose your university’s scale.

How do UK credits relate to ECTS?

The UK credit framework treats two UK credits as one ECTS credit, so a 360-credit honours degree corresponds to 180 ECTS credits, and a 180-credit master’s to 90 ECTS credits.
